Republic Garbage Services will run as scheduled for the month. Please put your totes out the evening before pick-up and remove them from the street-side as soon as possible following pick-up. All house-hold waste should be bagged and inside the tote. Republic is not required to accept additional bags of trash at curb-side.

Last day for swimming at the City Pool is Friday, August 11th. It was a busy year for swimmers! We thank all who participated, and our pool employees for a safe and successful swimming season.

Hamilton County Fair is the week of August 11-19th.

School begins for students Tuesday, August 15th. We’re proud of our educational system, and hope everyone has a successful new school year. Residents without school children can bring their Box Tops for Education and/or Best Choice UPC codes to City Hall. It’s an easy way to support our school system.

Thank you for keeping our meter readers safe. Please ensure safe and easy access to all meters for utilities.

Government works best with the free flow of accurate information. To increase awareness and participation in the events of our City we have established a City website and Facebook account to provide accurate information. Our community is served by many media outlets and it is difficult to know which one(s) might be best to use for additional communication. Please take a moment now and write down on the lower portion of your utility bill the television station and radio station you watch/listen to most often. Your help will guide us in selecting the media outlets we should be using. Meanwhile, if you have a question contact us!

NOTICE: The city is not responsible for mail delivery. Failure to receive billing
does not relinquish responsibility for payment or penalty. Payment for utilities
is always due on the 10th of the month. Any utility bills not paid by 4:00 P.M. on
Thursday, August 17 will result in the customer having services interrupted on
Friday, August 18. A reconnect fee of $25.00 will be charged. Customers are
responsible for all costs requiring collection.
