City Hall will be closed Monday, September 4th, in observance of Labor Day. We wish you a safe and happy weekend.

Republic Garbage Services will run a day late for the first full week of the month. Please put your totes out the evening before pick-up and remove them from the street-side as soon as possible following pick-up. The new truck with an automatic arm is in use-the tote lid may or may not be left up after collection. Please ensure that multiple totes are a minimum of three feet apart and at least three feet away from parked cars, etc. Please ensure that totes are placed with the hinged side away from the street. All house-hold waste should be bagged and inside the tote. Republic is not required to accept additional bags of trash at curb-side. Totes not in compliance will not be emptied. To rent an additional residential tote, contact Lisa @ 918-693-3164. For new commercial service contact Josh @ 618-751-4914.

City-Wide Fall Clean-Up is tentatively set for the first week in October. Please follow the City Facebook page and local announcements for updates.

“McFestival 2017” is September 7-9. A flyer is printed on the back of this newsletter. Our thanks to the McLeansboro Kiwanis Club or making Fall Festival something we look forward to each September! The hard work of volunteers makes all the difference in any community. We are exceptionally
fortunate — our community is greatly enriched — by the many helping hands. Thank you.

UTV and Golf Cart licenses are available in the Police Department at City Hall. The new permit season began August 1st. Permits are available on-line on the Mcleansboro website, or may be picked up at City Hall.

 

NOTICE: The city is not responsible for mail delivery. Failure to receive billing
does not relinquish responsibility for payment or penalty. Payment for utilities
is always due on the 10th of the month. Any utility bills not paid by 4:00 P.M. on
Monday, September 18th will result in the customer having services interrupted on
Tuesday, September 19th. A reconnect fee of $25.00 will be charged. Customers are
responsible for all costs requiring collection.
