Consolidated General Election is April 4, 2017. These “off year” elections are vitally important to our community, as those elected will determine local government. We have a strong voting tradition in McLeansboro. Please do  your homework, then get out and vote. Voting in all City Wards takes place in the old McLeansboro High School Gym on South Pearl Street. The municipal offices of mayor, clerk, treasurer and three aldermen are up for election/reelection.

City launches website. The City of McLeansboro has launched a city website in an effort to enhance online transparency and to create a user-friendly site for our residents, businesses, and visitors. Find us on-line at mcleansboro.us

Republic Garbage Services will run without interruption of services this month. Please put your totes out the evening before pick-up and remove them from the street-side as soon as possible following pick-up. All trash should be bagged and inside the tote. Republic is not required to accept additional bags of trash at curbside.

Mowing Season Returns. Clean and well-kept yards make for happy neighbors, fewer mosquitoes, and good curbside appeal. This Spring gives us another chance to do it right.

Thank you for keeping our meter readers safe by providing clean and easy access to utility meters. City Code requires that meter readers have access to all meters.
