July 2017

We hope you have a safe and enjoyable July 4th Celebration! The City Celebration is Friday, July 7th! Fireworks display begins at 9:00 pm at Lake McLeansboro. All boats are to be off the lake by 5:00 pm.

City Hall will be closed Tuesday, July 4th.

Republic Garbage Services will run one day late the week of July 4th.  There will be no garbage picked up on Tuesday, July 4th. Please put your totes out the evening before pick-up and remove them from the street-side as soon as possible following pick-up. All house-hold waste should be bagged and inside the tote. Republic is not required to accept additional bags of trash at curb-side.

A Memorial for Edgar Satterfield is planned for Sunday, July 16, at newly renamed Edgar Satterfield Kiwanis Park, 502 West Meadow Acres Drive, with the unveiling of a new park sign and a reception for Satterfield family members. The pavilion at the park has been named the Edgar Satterfield Pavilion. The park includes the baseball diamond and the Kids’ Kingdom; it is an important part of our municipal park system. A time for the event will be published on the City Facebook page and website closer to the date.
