City Hall will be closed Monday, October 8, 2018 in observance of Columbus Day.

Republic Services does not observe Columbus Day; residential waste collection will run as scheduled for the month.

The 2018 Consumer Confidence Report for calendar year 2017 is now available for review. The report certifies the City Water Department has met all state and federal requirements for safe drinking water standards. Free Copies are available at City Hall. A copy can also be mailed to you– just contact our office. 

Halloween “Trick or Treat” is scheduled for Wednesday, October 31 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Residents who wish to participate by handing out treats are encouraged to turn on porch lights. Community organizations and churches are planning activities, including the return of the best costume contest on the Square. Watch social media and the newspaper for additional information.

Calling all float makers and Christmas Magic Workers! The City Christmas Parade is scheduled for Friday, December 7th at 6:00 P.M. The theme this year is “Christmas Candyland.” We’re looking forward for parade entries and opportunities for happy memories to be made. Money prizes will be awarded to best float, best walkers and best side-by-side! If you’d like to be involved with the parade, please phone City Hall for details.

NOTICE: The City is not responsible for mail delivery. Failure to receive billing does not relinquish responsibility for payment or penalty. Payment for utilities is always due on the 10th of the month. Any utility bills not paid will result in the customer having services stopped on Thursday, October 18th. A reconnect fee of $25.00 will be charges. Customers are responsible for all costs requiring collection.
