Small Business Stabilization Program

The City of McLeansboro would like to assist the Small Businesses within our city limits during the current global pandemic.  We know this is a trying time and would like to assist qualified applicants secure grant money for time and revenue lost during COVID 19.

Below please find a link to the application and qualifications required for the Downstate Small Business Stabilization Program provided by the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). Interested small businesses should read and, if qualified, complete the application and return to Jodi Brockett, City Clerk, 102 West Main McLeansboro, IL  62859. The deadline for said application is Thursday, May 28, 2020 4:00pm. ***PLEASE NOTE, THE INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE IN THE APPLICATION IS AVAILABLE FOR PUBLIC VIEWING. ***

After the deadline, the City has certain guidelines that have to be followed.  This includes printing a public notice (that must run for 7 days), conducting a public hearing and drafting a Council resolution of support.  We ask that you be patient as this process will be tedious and will take time.  Filling out the application is the first step to completing this process.
